The Midrust Postcard Project
For more than 100 years people have been sending pictures of the places they love…to the people they love.
Sadly, so much of this is slipping away. Generations are passing, places are changing.
Fortunately the stories remain just waiting to be told one more time.
The Midrust Postcard project covers nearly 1,000 miles and over 100 years. The project uses the art and perspective of postcards and their senders.
Just a few words say so much about their circumstances, accomplishments, families, and obstacles. In every case, you’ll get a glimpse of both then and now.
You may even see places you’ve been and the spot you call home.
And, every once in a while, I am lucky enough to reunite a postcard with the grandchildren and great grandchildren of the writers or senders.
Let’s get started!
